As a responsible business, Lithoprint understands we have a duty to minimise the impact our activities have on the environment that we all live and work together in. A cornerstone of any EMS is waste minimisation – the hierarchy of which is simply;
Avoid – by introducing new technologies, innovating and keeping errors and packaging to an absolute minimum, the need to dispose of waste is greatly reduced.
Reuse – purchasing decisions are partly based on the possibility of reuse where possible.
Recycle – also part of any purchasing decision, can it be recycled after use? We recycle virtually all plates, paper, ink (& tins) and packaging.

Achievements to date since programme started

  • Waste sent to landfill reduced by 80%
  • Usage of electricity reduced by 5%
  • Completed full transition from mineral oil based inks to vegetable based
  • Installation of new press & prepress technology
